My experience spans from having worked on all 5 continents in the on & offshore oil and gas, minerals, rail, roads, construction and manufacturing industries.
As a qualified mechanical & electrical engineer, this has provided me with a foundation of solid operational understanding throughout my career. Since becoming a safety, environmental and security practitioner I have a demonstrable track record of leading several major organisations to cultural turnaround and world class safety performance.
In addition to the present day job I am also a Main Board Director for the organisation 'Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor'. The company provides advice to governments and solutions for water and sanitation services to developing countries across Asia and Africa.
Finally, over the last four years I have worked extensively with the University of Cambridge to develop their Security and Safety syllabus on both their undergraduate and post graduate engineering masters degree programmes at the Department of Engineering. This service involves regularly lecturing all students attending the programme on the latest Health, Safety and Security issues faced within industry.
