Simon Bown
Simon is a results driven, commercially focused HS&E leader with broad generalist knowledge and management experience with a highly credible record at both strategic and operational levels.
He has a passion to continually improve performance in a realistic, easy to understand way delivering improved results. He is a clear believer in managing safety differently and proactively, fully involving the workforce to give ownership and empowerment at all levels. This approach enables natural risk management skills to be utilised and allows for effective management of 'variations & drift' from the norm when undertaking tasks.
Fun fact: Simon is a former international hammer thrower placing 6th in 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and a double gold medallist at the European Masters in 2012.
